Today was one of those fall days that more often than not, happen in memory rather than in real life. It transported me back to some of those days in my memory. When youthful bliss was a bike ride away, or just a stroll down the road. For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.
Don't you miss sowing and scattering? I do, and it hasn't even frosted. Please don't miss out on these final crowded hours of summer, you will feel miserable if you do. Especially when you have three inches of ice entombing the world around you. The equinox is not until September 23 rd, we still have a couple of days left. Make hay while the sun shines!
