For those of you that don't know, I'm a huge fan of The Vampire Diaries, The Twilight Series and I like True Blood. I know vampires aren't real, they are all fiction, which is why I enjoy reading and watching it. These books and shows give me the opportunity to feel like a kid again. The chance to remember what it was like to read a book or watch a show and just use your imagination, knowing that none of it's real, but enjoying the thought of getting lost for a little while . I hope that you all have shows or movies that you can do that with, just lose yourself for a little while. I think it's good for us.
With Thursdays being my Vampire Diaries night, I thought I would share a little something I came across.
This is for all of my Vampire loving friends, you know who you are! :)
Even if you are not a fan of vampires, this yummy cocktail is to good to pass up. I hope you enjoy it!

Vampire's Delight
2 oz rum
1 banana
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
grenadine
combine the rum, banana and ice cream in a blender. Swirl the grenadine around in two champagne flutes so that it coats the inside and pour the banana mixture into the glasses.
Bloody Glasses
For a really cool effect you could try rimming your cocktail glasses with blood...
.... I don't mean real blood, just a little something to get the effect! This is guaranteed to impress your friends!
What you'll need
1 cup sugar
½ cup karo syrup
½ cup water
red food coloring
Directions
Combine sugar, syrup and water and cook without stirring to hard crack stage (300oF).
Add food coloring
Turn down the heat (you need to still keep the mixture hot while dunking the glasses) and dunk the top of the glass into the mixture while it is still hot
Flip glass right way up to cool and it will naturally cause some drips......just like real blood.
This method can be used for any glasses.
Warning - It is difficult to clean this off of your glasses as it is basically a hard candy coating so soak it in hot soapy water for a little bit before washing. Alternatively do as I do and leave it soaking overnight - comes off quite easily the following morning that way.
I hope you all have a Fangtastic day! If you would like to enjoy more cocktails, head on over to Thirsty Thursday
